I call special attention to the arresting article on another page, written by Mr. Hudspeth,of Yunnan,who has sole charge,as the English missionary, of a circuit as wide as Wales,an area so vast and with churches in it so many that he can visit even its chief centres only once in six months, and then only by incessant travelling.And, as he tells us, the calls are multiplying!New Miao tribes are seeking the serviçe of the missionary, new peoples are crying for the bread of life,and the hands are not multiplying to break it to them,nor the feet increasing to speed to their help.The United Methodist 教会 does not 耶t know how magnificent is its opportunity in Yunnan, and our young ministers do not 耶t dream how great a scope for heroic 基督徒 service there is in that far fieid, or Mr.Hudspeth would not be left single-handed to deal with so strategic and marvellous a situation.
如您所見，這是另外一位作者寫在王樹德所寫的文章前面的一段話，而王的文章，則在”下一頁”裡。從以上這段文字，我們就可以知道的一點就是:王樹德極力地呼籲和盼望能有更多的人為這份事業獻上自己的時間和精力。其實，在川滇黔邊的循道公會的範圍裡，一直都存在著人手短缺的情況。所以，柏格理的”以苗傳苗”的策略，就顯得非常的重要了。除了石門坎外，葛布一帶的阿卯，不也是充分地顯示了”以苗傳苗”這一策略的嗎？本土人才在本地的重要是顯而易見的。
